Courage
The Gift:
Courage gives us fortitude and perseverance to remain faithful in hardship, service and witness.
Bible Verse:
So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God, I will strengthen you with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10
Reflection:
Once, a soul was very disturbed by certain people who wanted to disrupt a work she had undertaken for the glory of God. They went as far as to make horrible threats and to intimidate her. The good Lord consoled her several times in her deep pain. On one occasion, He showed her a great light shaped like a triangle. In the center was His eye, serene and encouraging. Suddenly from this gentlest of lights came a voice: “It is I; do not be afraid. I will guard you and defend you in everything.” After this, the vision disappeared, leaving the soul greatly strengthened in her suffering. ~Mother Cabrini
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Give me the courage to stand firm when I am challenged, the strength to continue when the road is difficult, and the faith to trust You when I cannot see the way forward.
Let Your light surround me, Your peace fill me, and Your grace strengthen me. Amen
