Our Mission
The Mother Cabrini League is a Catholic community of prayer and mission dedicated to fostering devotion to Mother Cabrini and the Sacred Heart of Jesus and supporting the spiritual works and global ministries of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Prayer and devotion are at the heart of the Mother Cabrini League. Founded to promote devotion to Mother Cabrini, the League continues that mission today by bringing people throughout the world together in prayer, sharing her life and spirituality, and encouraging others to seek her loving intercession.
You are invited to entrust your prayer intentions to the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Each week, the Sisters receive these intentions and hold them in prayer, asking for Mother Cabrini’s intercession for those in need of strength, fortitude, healing, wisdom, forgiveness, hope, discernment, and peace, and for all who are carrying suffering, anxiety, or uncertainty.
Your intentions are placed in Mother Cabrini’s bedroom and remembered in the weekly Masses celebrated at the National Shrine of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini.
Whatever has brought you here today, know that your intentions are held with compassion, lifted in prayer, and entrusted to the loving intercession of Mother Cabrini.

october 2026 reflection
Mother Cabrini, as a missionary, was an extraordinarily active person: she traveled to the New World to encounter and respond to the needs of thousands of immigrants. She opened, organized, staffed, and maintained 67 institutions of care throughout the world. She climbed the Andes mountains by mule, traveled to Denver by train, sailed by ship to Nicaragua, and even transported herself by foot into the interior of Central, South, and North America. Yet, she always found the time to return to prayer wherever she was. The still point of her life was prayer: especially prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She began each day with Him and ended her day with Him. Mother Cabrini teaches us what is most important in our lives. Prayer should never be separated from service. Prayer is the source that sustains service.
