is a worldwide community of prayer inspired by America’s First Citizen Saint .
Founded in 1938 by George Cardinal Mundelein the League was created to promote the beatification and canonization of Mother Cabrini. For more than 75 years, the League has endeavored to share Mother Cabrini’s story in the hopes that people will, through her intercession, come to know the love of God and receive His blessings. The League receives countless letters from its members around the world, asking for prayer requests from the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, as well as letters of thanksgiving for blessings they believe are attributed to Mother Cabrini’s intercession.
Today the League spreads devotion to a saint whose life was dedicated to immigrants, the sick the orphaned and all those facing causes the world calls impossible. Together we continue Mother Cabrini’s mission of faith, courage, and trust in God’s providence.
