Beloved Mother Cabrini was noted for her persistence, both in prayer and in carrying to fulfillment the works of her religious Order.

The medal of the Little Rosary carries her likeness. On the reverse is seen the Sacred Heart, a pair of wings, her private symbol of the spiritual life, and the Crucifix of whish she has said: My book will be the Crucifix and I will always keep it before my eyes to learn how to love and to suffer..”

Despite discomfort and inconvenience, Mother Cabrini crossed the ocean twenty-five times, in furtherance of her works. As a notation of this, the Little Rosary contains twenty-five beads.

It is suggested to those using the Little Rosary in her honor to repeat on each bead the Hail Mary and to repeat after each five beads this aspiration:
